Howard Area Community Center is a multi-service community-based organization serving low-income individuals and families in north Rogers Park. Services include full-day Head Start and early childhood education for children birth to age five, intensive home visits for infants and toddlers and their families, adult education, employment and counseling and job readiness training, a family literacy program, an alternative high school for youth ages 16 to 20, after-school tutoring and other services for elementary and high school students at four area public schools, social services including emergency food and clothing, case management, health education and outreach, domestic violence counseling and education and low cost dental services.
