Located in the Bronzeville community at 45th Place and Wells, Bronzeville Academic Center provides a high school level academic program for 17-21 year olds. Students receive high school credits and work toward graduation with a diploma. Scholarships are offered through various programs and departments, DCFS, Mayor’s Office, and Blue Gargoyle. Bronzeville requires students to have appropriate behavior, good attendance and grades. School motto: Each one teach one!
Programs & Services
A range of academic services include small class sizes, one-on-one tutoring, pre-employment training, computer learning center, counseling, post-secondary transition, counseling and support, and life skills courses. Bronzeville Academic Center is a subsidiary of Blue Gargoyle Community Services in Hyde Park.
Admissions
Placement test, student interview, parent interview and orientation are required. Referrals from child care and social service agencies accepted.
